Ross Miller recognizes Marlon’s contributions to Southern Nevadans’ quality of life and unique experience as reasons for support
Las Vegas — David Marlon, running for the Las Vegas City Council in Ward 1, earned the endorsement of the Honorable Ross Miller, Nevada’s former Democratic Secretary of State and 2014 Democratic nominee for Attorney General.
“The residents of Ward 1 couldn’t ask for a better advocate than Dave Marlon. He has years of experience helping people reclaim their lives and find peace in recovery,” Miller said. “Dave knows and understands the most pressing issues facing the City Council because he’s spent his life working on those same issues. I give him my support enthusiastically and hope Ward 1 voters will join me.”
Marlon founded and built one of the most successful addiction recovery centers in the country in the heart of Southern Nevada. “I am humbled to receive the support of Ross Miller,” Marlon said. “His term in office was marked by consensus-based, common sense solutions and that is a legacy I hope I can build on at City Hall.”
Dave Marlon has been a Las Vegas resident for more than 30 years. He spent the past 11 as the CEO of Solutions Recovery, where he was recognized by his peers as a leader in his field. He is the President of the Southern Nevada Association of Addiction Professionals (SNAAP) and earned the 2018 National Advocacy Award from NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals. Locally, he has been recognized as a graduate of the Leadership Las Vegas program, with the Mayor’s Commendation, and received the Community Counseling Center of Southern Nevada’s Vanguard Award.
